Struggles of the legends.
Hello everyone. Good morning.
As you all know, as many of your friends update their WhatsApp status, Today is the birthday of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
You might have seen a film about him. The hero of that film died recently. Yes. Sushant Singh Rajput.M.S. Dhoni reached a big height. His path was not a bed of roses but of thrones. His struggles were shown in the movies. So let us see another new person.
How many of you know about rettamalai Srinivasan? He was also born on this same day July 7 1859.
He was influenced badly in his hometown. He fought against the casteism. Let us know something about him.
As said earlier, today is his birthday. He pursued his BA in Government college of art and science, Coimbatore.
His persistence for the uplifting of the lowly people can't be described in words. He struggled for the land of the lowly people, in 1894. He got friendship with Gandhi, in South Africa.
The common way in the village and government offices and common places. Any people, people from any religion and caste can come to those places. It is all because of him.
He let out a determination that any people can take water from the common water reservoirs. In 1925, the Government accepted this and a GO was passed. For this, he was awarded Rav Sahib award on Jan 1st 1926.
In 1930, he took part in the London Round table conference with Dr.Ambedkar.
To make others to feel how badly the scheduled people are suffered, He hanged a board on his neck stating 'I am Rav Sahib R- Srinivasan, Paraiyar. I am an untouchable.' He is that much courageous person.He fought for the representation of the lowly people in parliament.
He does not look for awards. He struggled for the rights of the scheduled people. He passed away on September 7 - 1945.
The lives of MS Dhoni and Rettamalai Srinivasan say the same message. Persistence, Hard word, struggles and equality.
Dhoni went through many struggles. We are all aware of that.
How many people and children are put under the sufferings of untouchability? Let us break the concept of inequality and untouchability and castism.
